Hunter home for the Holidays

Hunter arrived here in TX, for the holidays today. It was really nice seeing him walk out of the secure are of the airport. rieley has been counting down the days, for over 60 days and was so excited to see her brother come home. He is in deperate need of a haircut and shave, but we will deal with that later.

Hunter, hasn't had a chance to breath since we got home. Rieley and him have been  reading books, playing board games, catching up and talking and watching a Princess movie. She is one happy girl.

The Ceiling is Fixed.

Well, the men who did the drywall while our house, came back over 2 days and fixed daddy's boo boo. You can't even tell someone broke through the ceiling. Tim is still limping and moaning quite a bit while sleeping, after being in one position too long. We've had some good laughs after the fact and have reminded dad to let the younger people go up in the attic from now on.

Story Hour at the local library.

Rieley and I attend Storyhour, at our local library each Wed. The first 30 minutes is craft time, then we have a stiry read to the kids and then a short movie to watch. Rieley, looks forward to this each Wed. We usually get 10 or so new books each week from the the library, to read in addition to the 100's of books we have at home already. The child, LOVES books.
For Christmas, they have done 3 different crafts and the ones pictures are of a Christmas tree out of popsicle sticks and an ornament decorated with glitter glue and a picture of the kids with Santa. He came to styoryhour last Wed and took pictures with the kids and then read them their story.
Marylou and Fillipa, do a great job running the storyhour and Rieley loves both of them. Until about a month ago, if I didn't sit on the floor, she wouldn't either. Then, a new little girl named Hailey mived here and Rieley and her have hit it off. Hopping to get togehter with her and her mom, to have some playdates for the girls. It is finally nice to find someone here for her to play with, after leaving such a great group of friends in PA. We so miss them.

Rieley's Tooth Extraction 12/6/10.

We arrived bright and early at the hospital, Monday morning. We had to be there by 630 am, and she would go back by 730a.m. They were a little behind but only by a few minutes. Rieley got her happy medicine at 710 a.m. and the Dr Jeff the anesthesiologist and Caroline the OR Tech  came and got her to take her back about 740. Tim checked on things at 9, since it was suppose to only last 30 minutes and she was still back in the OR. Dr Wilkerson came out to talk to us about 910, and said things went well. There was an abcess under the crown, so it was really good we decided to get the tooth out sooner than later. They recovery room nurse came to get me about 930 and then moved us to our room about 945. She did great and drank a little apple juice and continued to look dazed and out of it. We were able to leave the hospital by 11 and beat Bailey home for lunch. Rieley slept on mommy until 4 pm, only to awake and announce she was "HUNGRY" , she had some jello, chicken gnocchi soup from Olive Garden, popsicles to help her sore throuat from the breathing tube and daddy bought her a slushy to eat with a spoon. She wanted pop but dr said no for 24 hours.
Other than the sore throat, she has NO complaints. She is taking an antibiotic for a week and goes back next Mon to see the dentist and than again in 2 or 3 weeks to have the spacer put in.
She was very excited about the tooth fairy coming. We bought a little wooden box to use and put it under her pillow. The tooth fairy delivered some goodies during the night and rieley was very pleased with her stash.

Dad's Fall Through the Ceiling/ Outside Decorating

Tim and Tanner, were getting the outside lights down from the attic in the garage on Sunday. Last year Tanner put some of the boxes on the walkway, up there. Well, Tim decided to try and walk around them on the rafter instead of moving them. And, fell through to his hips, into the laundry room. He is ok, is sore in the hip area and walking with a limp. Rieley and I were at church, when this happened and the other two kids were sleeping. I came home to a really big hole in my ceiling, and am now waiting for the builders to come and fix it, who knows when that will happen.
Check out the picture. There is a common factor in all of the light pictures. Can you pick it out, Tanner is the only one doing the work, all others say they are supervising.

Decorating for Christmas 2010.

We bought a new tree this year. Last year after the move from PA to TX, the artificial tree took a beating and looked pretty sad. So. Tim went online and found one, that was delivered to our house in 2 big boxes. Our plan is to wrap it in some type of wrap after the holidays and leave it in one piece, to try and eliminate damaging it again.
Rieley helped put the ornaments on along with daddy and Bailey. Of course, the camera wasn't out. Mom was the lucky one, to take each ornament out of its box and then hand it to one of them to hang on the tree.
We think it is beautiful and are very happy with it. it is full of presents underneath and awaiting Santas arrival, Christmas Eve.

Gingerbread Houses 2010

Bailey and Rieley, decorated their Gingerbread House this year, while mom and dad were at daddy's company Christmas party. Bailey was babysitting and this was part of their party. Rieley had the night all planned out, too funny. They did the giungerbread house, played games, took a bath in mommy's big tub, watched a movie and had ice cream and cake. Bailey was able to get her to go to bed before we got home, which was really nice. Seeing the party was in NM and we are in TX, and in different time zones. Strange I know and a pain in the butt. We didn't get home until after 11pm, so I was glad to see she was in bed and asleep.
